Hi folks,
I am scheduled to organize the VPC class II-III Mascoma River trip this Saturday. The level today (4.4 feet, 800+ cfs) looks purrrrfect!!! See the link to the site (and a screenshot) below. It looks like a brisk and cloudy day according to weather.com (high around 40 deg.).
If we can meet at the take-out in Lebanon by, say, 9:00am, then we can easily get in 2 laps – with lunch in between. Those who can’t be on that time line could show up for the PM lap, or come straight to the put-in around 9:30 for both runs. I have to be back in Burlington for a show Saturday evening, which is why I am pushing for a fairly early start. It’s possible we will be a little bit of an annoyance to those who organize the annual Dartmouth College/Ledyard Mascoma Slalom Race, but we have always managed not to spoil their event.
Let me know if you can join the fun! 802-324-8497 or email me, or reply here with a number where you can be reached...
