At this point the Saranac trip is in doubt, because the river is high and getting higher. As of 12:30 pm today the level is 8.05 feet on the Plattsburgh gauge.

I wouldn't want to lead the trip at anything higher than 6.5 feet (the highest I've done) and would be more comfortable with 6.0 feet or less, especially with participants that are new to the run.

Again, we're talking about the Silver Lake Road to Redford section documented in the AW River Guide.

I'm thinking about alternatives....
