subject It gets pushy around 1K

I’d say above 1K the lower Mad moves much faster and things can push you around. Some of the rapids approach 4 and Horseshoe has some true hydraulics and potholes, but you can still portage it. 

I’m rethinking my plan, I‘ll do a little recon on the feeder streams this morning before we meet at the take out.
