On 4/20 (this Saturday) I am on the schedule to organize a Joe's Brook trip. Normally we meet in West Danville at the junction of US2/US15 at 9am, set shuttle, and get on the river a little after 10am. Creek boats would be advisable, and an appetite for adventure, as Joe's drops 1000 feet in 10 miles, and there can be wood (not weed) in places. The ice bridge in the lower gorge could still be a potentially lethal hazard, as well. If anyone has had eyes on Joe's this week, or has eyes on it the next couple of days, it would be nice to hear what you think about the level. If it's either too high or too low on Saturday, we'll come up with a plan B, which sometimes brings us to NH (Gale or EB Pemi) and sometimes to a different VT venue (Moose in Victory, e.g.). Lemme know if you have an appetite, replying here or by text/phone: 802-324-8497.
