Meet new friends and paddle better!
Established in 1970, the Vermont Paddlers Club is now an American Canoe
Association affiliated club*. The mission of the VPC is to facilitate
the enjoyment of recreational paddlesport. To this end we organize a
schedule of whitewater and flatwater canoe and kayak trips which suit
the interests of VPC members, promote safe and enjoyable paddling through
education and other activities (including winter pool sessions), maintain
an awareness of river resource and conservation issues, and take action
when appropriate to protect paddling resources.

The ACA/VPC Waiver and Release of Liability is here.
We have several active core paddling groups, and offer river trips
for all abilities throughout the spring, summer, and fall. Online we
have a boatload of useful content and links,
including our trips
schedule, message board,
slideshow,
yellow pages,
USGS
river level info., etc.
The cost of VPC membership is $10 per individual or $12 per family, per year,
but in order to avoid ACA event fees you would be wise to join the ACA as well.
The cost for a VPC + ACA (bundled) membership is $40 for an individual
or $52 for a family. Members enjoy access to all VPC events,
plus ACA member benefits including:
-
6 issues of Paddler Magazine
-
event calendars by mail for all ACA events
-
discount rates on instructional courses/books/videos through the ACA
-
liability insurance for VPC trips
-
and a voice in Washington to stand up for paddlers' interests.
* Since 2000, the VPC has been an American Canoe Association (ACA) Paddle America Club.
The ACA advocates for recreational paddlers on the state and national level,
trains and certifies thousands of canoe and kayak instructors from coast to coast,
and provides liability insurance for sanctioned Paddle America Club events.
