Referred by: Bow and Stern Comments: I'm Seeking help in purchasing a used lightweight sea kayak and sea kayak accessories (my first Kayak). I'm 5'8 female 130 pounds and I'm looking for something that I can put on and off my car alone. I plan to paddle mostly on the Waterbury Res. and Lake Champlain, occasionally I will take it in the ocean (just past the waves) and on some rivers. Most of my trips will be day trips with the occasional overnight. I have rented a few kayaks and I really like the ability to go quickly with good tracking and some storage portals. There are so many different types of kayaks out there I'm confused which one or type is right for me...can anyone help me???

Referred by: Word of Mouth Comments: In your listing of Orleans Country Rivers you suggest putting in at Lowell on the Mississiquoi and taking out at North Troy. When I asked the president of the Green Mountain Club last year if one could do that, he said, "Sure, just be sure to have somebody with a camera to record your last moments as you go over Big Falls." So I drove up and checked out Big Falls, which is a few miles south of North Troy. It's a major league waterfall. Anybody running that section of the Mississiquoi should make sure they have a map and get off the river well upstream of big falls, because I don't think anyone has ever gone over it and lived to post a trip report. Cheers, Neil
