Referred by: Word of Mouth Comments: Hey Folks, I am with the Friends of the Winooski River, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the Winooski River and promoting stewardship ethics on the river. We are organizing a canoe race in Montpelier for the July 4th celebration (on Saturday, July 3rd) and would like to know if anyone is interested in providing help with the race. We need safety crew both on the river and on the banks for the event. The race will be in flat water so it won't be a challenge for you whitewater folks, but if you want to be in the race just for yahoos I'll keep the club posted on time and location. If you are interested in helping with safety e-mail me at deandrea@stone-env.com or call 229-5283. Thanks and hope to see you there. Pamela DeAndrea, FWR

The tree is a good size and comes up fast. You can pass the tree on either far river right or left (left is the more open route). There are some good size limbs sticking up from the trunk. john

Referred by: WebTreks Comments: Looking to sell or trade a Walden Paddlers Vision Expedition. Green, two hatches with webbing. I bought it at the end of last season and used it about six times. It is a great kayak, except I need one with a larger cockpit, I'm 6'-4" with long legs, very hard for me to get in and launch. I am looking for $600 as it is still new and in great shape.

Referred by: Bow and Stern Comments: Has anyone paddled the Clarendon Gorge section of the Mill River? I'm thinking of the section that begins at the rail road crossing at route 103 (by the Long Trail suspension bridge). I briefly looked at on the way to Easter dinner, but didn't have time to scout the whole run. What class is it? Any fun play spots? or, just fast, pushy drops? Any super dangerous spots? Thanks.
