I don't know if anyone is interested but the Schroon river is nicely up as well as the hudson between Riparius and the glen. I was thinking of running both sections this saturday. I have never been on either run so if anyone has and would be interested in checking them out let me know.

kayak paddle for solo canoeing
We are looking for a new kayak paddle to move the canoe that will be very loaded for canoe camping. Any ideas? I'm looking at the Harmony/Perception Sea Passage and the Arctic Passage.

Anyone have comments on the Savage River Otegan C-1? Am close to putting money down. Especially wondering if it will be a difficult transition (read: tippy?) from my Blackhawk Combi (hull very similar to Sawyer Cruiser) to the Otegan which is a race-based design. Thanks! -- Larry C

This morning Winooski One lowered the pool behind their dam downstream from the Champlain and Chace Mills. The river is running at 1,300 cfs or more today. All this makes for some interesting features below the falls, including a good-sized surf wave.
