I'm curious about inflatable white water kayaks in NE rivers. Not about to give up my Explorer or Dancer, but inflatables might be convenient in some situations. How do they handle, can you really maneuver, any particular boats that work well?

I am heading up river safety for the Sugarbush Triathlon (VT Adventure
Games) again this year! Last year was unbelievable with 14 inches of snow
falling the morning of the race. Boater carnage was very high and we barely
had enough help. I am looking for volunteers, the pay off is a Party for
all volunteers on Thursday the 5th of April, preview run of the river on Sat
the 7th of April, free bed & breakfast at my house that evening for those
that want to stay in the valley and then...
Helping your fellow man survive the paddle. Hundreds of experienced and not
so paddlers down the Mad in a plethora of watercraft both appropriate and
not. Gain valuable experience in throw bag use, hypothermia and boat
rescue. We sweep the river in our own craft after the last racer and then
retire to the Sugarbush lodge for FREE food & BEER. If all goes well we are
home for a late dinner.
I would also like to put a trip together on the Bonaventure, flows out of
the Chic Chocs on the Gaspe, continuous II-III for over 80 miles. Needs to
be self supported min trip time is 5 days plus travel. My research says May
& June for the best water.
Call me if you need clarification on any of this.
