Hello,

I was wondering if anyone was interested in running the Mad or the Huntington (level may be too low?) tomorrow afternoon (Sat 5/4) meeting at the take out at about 4pm. If the Mad is running above 400, it should be o.k.. Please drop an email or reply here if you are interested.

thanks,
Scott

Hello,

It is looking as though the Mad will be runnable later today. Fritz and I (and two others) are meeting at the take out at 4pm. We should be off the water by 7-ish. If anyone has questions they can try me at 434-4901. Hope to see you there...

*** TWO KAYAKS STOLEN IN BURLINGTON ***

I discovered it at ~11:30 this morning. I presume the boats were taken off my car earlier this morning or during the night. (The nylon tie-down straps had been cut with a knife.)
Here is a description (both whitewater boats, ~8' long):
- Savage V 'Beast', color = bright blue
outfitted with gray foam knee blocks,
blue/green hip pads made from a laminated
foam/fabric (yoga mat material)
- Necky 'Blunt' creek boat
color = orange, standard outfitting

Micro-size float bag sets were in the sterns of each boat. The Beast had an extra white nylon rope + clear poly tubing tow handle looped through the stern grab loop.

This is my first season paddling in this area, so far I've done the North Branch, Wild Branch, and played around at Ithiel Falls. I was wondering if anyone could give me info on the Lower Lamoille? Also I've heard of a spot on the Winowski but can't seem to find any info on it. Any help would be great, or suggestions on any water that is boatable now that levels are dropping. Thanks....

My girlfriend and I are both on the U.S. National Biathlon team and need to start paddling for better strength and stamina. I would love to hear from some one or find out if anyone knows information on purchasing a kayak for a good deal. Thank you for your time,

'Into the Tsangpo Gorge' -- Documentary Premiers May 26 on NBC Sports

What: “Into the Tsangpo Gorge” the one-hour documentary of the first whitewater descent of the “Everest of Rivers”…Tibet’s Tsangpo Gorge by American Scott Lindgren and an international team of world class kayakers, airs May 26 at 2:30 p.m. (EST) and 11:30 a.m. (PCT) on NBC Sports. Scott Lindgren will also appear on the “Today Show” on Friday, May 24th.

The Tsangpo is the world’s deepest gorge and, until now, had stood as one of the great-unconquered adventure prizes on the earth. Lindgren, a world-class kayaker and Emmy-award winning cameraman, teamed up with Chevy Avalanche, Outside Magazine and Outside Television to successfully conquer the legendary Tsangpo Gorge. Facing life-threatening challenges by water and land the team overcame obstacles that have prevented all other attempts to traverse the river.

Where: NBC Sports 2:30 p.m (EST) and 11:30 a.m (PCT) check local listings

When: Sunday, May 26th

(The above is from a Scott Lindgren Productions press release. Also see the Favorite Website link for online coverage.)
