Attention Paddlers paddling the little river, as of 3/21/03.
There is a tree laying across the Little River,(Woodard hill rd) just before the old care takers house heading down river. The log is about 3-5 inches under the surface when there is a release. Can see it from the road on the way to the put-in.

Wanted to buy: Beginner WW kayak for small paddler (5'3", 130) - such as Wavesport Kinetic, Dagger Piedra, Dagger Blast, Wavesport Micro X. Open to other suggestions. Will mostly be paddling Class II-III. I'm currently a Class II canoeist, sick of looking for tandem partners.----Would also consider ww canoe for small paddler. This option would make my dog happier! ;-)

I work for a mental health center and we are having a suicide prevention fundraiser on July 26th and 27th. It is a 38 mile paddle down the CT river from Haverhill NH to Wilder VT. It will be lots of fun. We'll have campsite accommodations on Saturday night at the Pastures Campground in Orford NH where there will be a barbeque and live music. Check out www.paddlepower.org for more details. Paddlers agree to raise $500.00 for the cause. Suicide prevention programs are needed in schools and senior centers. Suicide is the third leading cause of death among teens and claims more lives then HIV/AIDs or murders.

For Sale Eskimo Diablo Evolution. Here's a description from the Eskimo site----
"Not the latest fashion, but a solid, Alpine kayak, and what's more, one with a reasonable length!
Guaranteed no sharp edges, and certainly no flat bottom.
Instead, first class reliability in white water, fast, and controlled resurfacing, and extreme maneuverability.
Reliable in every situation! Tried and tested over many years.

Key Points: rigid hull with no annoying central buoyancy pillars! a.b.t. plastic, extremely maneuverable, resurfaces well, rich complement of safety accessories"

Go to the following link for more info and pictures of the diablo.

--This boat is in excellent condition. It has a nosecap installed, I added an Immersion Research ratcheting backband, and it has the bomber Eskimo plastic. Boat is located in Lake Placid, NY. Not interested in shipping the boat. $400
